SPAIN, VALENCIA, WALKING AROUND THE OLD TOWN

Our next day in Valencia was walking around the city taking in the sights that we could find on foot in the Old Town. We asked the reception staff and we were given a map with all the sights. The first one was the Bridge Of Flowers
We were advised to stop at this market for breakfast or coffee. We did stop in but nothing took our interest. And the buildings along our way were amazing.
Before we came across the Town Hall Square
Then we walked down to see the Bullring, I was hoping that it was open for a tour. But it was closed. Maybe one day I will set foot in a bullring in Spain.
So we onwards to the Central Market and found a bite to eat on the way.
We had picked the fish market day and it smelt very strong, so we walked straight through !
We then came across the Silk Exchange and found some of the oranges that Valencia is famous for !
Before we made our way onward to the Cathedral and Plaza De La Virgin.
I did not get a chance to visit and see the inside of the Cathedral. I was visiting the same time as lots of cruise ships guests. So we decided against and carried on towards the Plaza De La Virgin.
This was where we concluded our tour. If you do a walking tour around the Old Town, wear sensible walking shoes, take the tourist map and advice from your hotel and download an offline map on your phone. There are some many streets and walkways, it would be so easy to get lost here. I really enjoyed my time exploring and would recommend any one to do the same. And it did help, that it was a sunny warm day !
