NEW LIZ EARLE SKIN REPAIR RICH AND CALMING BOTANICAL DROPS

Liz Earle Beauty have brought some new and some updated products. I had been using this brand for over fifteen years before I really got interested in beauty. These are my previous favourites from the brand. I ordered the Skin Repair Rich to see how this compared to my favourite Elemis one. And the Calming Botanical Drops to see how this worked with my rosacea, sensitive skin. I never got on with the original skin repair moisturisers from Liz Earle Beauty. After 25 years, it was time for an update, so I thought I would try these two new products.

Skin Repair Rich

I thought that I would use this as a day and night cream. This retails for £23 for a 50ml jar. This is fine as a moisturiser and the price is good. But the jar I am not a fan off.  With a luxuriously creamy texture, this rich, plant-powered moisturiser locks in moisture and deeply hydrates to restore balance to skin when it feels dry or stressed. Offering 72 hours of intensive hydration, and enriched with nourishing shea butter sustainably sourced in partnership with the Global Shea Alliance to intensely replenish, alongside a blend of moisturising borage oil, avocado oil to smooth and soften, soothing echinacea, toning hops and natural source vitamin E. After use, skin feels soothed, comforted and glows with natural radiance. The texture was very cooling on the face , it sank in fairly well and you do not need much of the product and it was heavily perfumed. This was too perfumed to be continued on my face. I used this for a week and could not stand it anymore. So I relegated this to use on my body after I have bathed.

Calming Botanical Drops

These lightweight, water-based gel drops help reduce the feeling of sensitivity, so skin feels soothed. Perfect for stressed skin prone to redness, with giant hyssop to even the appearance of skin tone, plus British silver birch to calm and protect against dryness. I added two drops into skin repair rich moisturiser in the palm of your hand. Then applied to my face. These were not what I expected. Just felt like a silky water. Did not feel these did anything for me either.

Repeat Purchase ?

I am glad that I tried the new Skin Repair and Calming Botanicals Drop but I do not think I will be repurchasing. I have had better experience with other brands products. They will never be found in my beauty stash again.
