RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS – MY FLARE UP DAYS

Flare Up is acute episodes of pain and inflammation This I have found up by experiencing them. I had read about them during my research into Rheumatoid Arthritis.  Lately I have started to have them for over four days concurrently. An arthritis flare may occur after an infection or a highly stressful situation. These are what I have to do to get through the days when I am flaring.

Rest

Most of the time, I am sleeping. I find that my body demands me to stop and either sit and rest, or when I have been at home, I found myself sleeping more and more. Even if I have slept for over ten hours the night before, I still fall asleep.

Bath

For me, having a very hot bubble bath soothes my joints. A shower just does not work. I have to immerse myself in hot water. And I start to feeling calm.

Read

Some times, this helps to get my mind off the pain I am feeling. I just have to try these things to get through the day. It is not nice having this  chronic disease. It is try and error trying to find things that ease the pain.
