NEW YORK, RADISSON MARTINQUE ON BROADWAY

I picked the Radisson Martinique on Broadway as it was in Midtown New York. Where my mum wanted to be as this was her first visit to New York. This hotel is less than one mile from Times Square and the Broadway Theatre District. The Empire State Building and Rockefeller Center are both within walking distance of the Radisson Martinique. Just 2 blocks away is Penn Station, which we used frequently to get around the city.
We arrived late at 11.30pm, and after two hours waiting at passport control and then a hour trek into the city. We literally went to our room on the 17th floor.
The next morning, we took in our surroundings. My mum and I had a twin room with two portholes above the bed. And you could not view out of them either. I did try that ! They had given us two bottles of water, a coffee maker. No fridge mind you, but I did read that I could have requested this if I had known about it.
The bathroom was fine, we never not had hot water and they also supplied these gorgeous Rituals toiletries.
And on our floor, the 17th, we had our own lounge with board games and complimentary hot and cold drinks. I think that this was more to do with the renovation work going on outside.
This meant the hotel was covered in scaffolding and netting. And we were also given complimentary breakfast each morning, which surprised me. And we certainly took advantage of and it was delicious.
The Radisson Martinique is part of the National Trust of the Historic Hotels and dates back to 1897.
I was so pleased with this hotel and would recommend and stay at again if I was returning to New York !
