I needed a hotel at Gatwick North Terminal and came across the Hampton By Hilton. Now I was a fan of the price and it was adequate for a night sleep. But I am not sure that I would book it again. The room was large with two big beds for my mum and myself.

But the shower room with bolted on toiletries was a turn off. It just make me feel that I have booked a budget hotel which is something I want to avoid in the future.

Things I did like was the comfortable bed, blacked out curtains. Little touches like sockets by the bedside. And it felt very quiet considering how close you are to the airport. And they also give you a free breakfast. Which was for an hotel breakfast was amazing. So well thought-out and well executed. This model should be followed by most hotels. I was certainly well fed ready for my flight.

And the covered walkway is a mere five minutes from the reception. And we came out at Level 1 at the North Terminal. I do not know why I would not gook the Hampton By Hilton again. I am really on the fence about this hotel.
