USA, NEW YORK, SIGHTSEEING DAY FOUR, THE HIGH LINE, CIRCLE LINE CRUISE

Day four in New York started out with another trip on the metro from Penn Station down to the Ghostbusters Fire House but yet again. This was covered with renovations and this to me felt like a wasted trip. But there are no guarantees about anything !
Then we off to the find High Line. The High Line is a public park built on a historic freight rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan’s West Side. It runs from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District to West 34th Street, between 10th and 12th Avenues.
We did not realise the time and ended up rushing to join our Landmarks Cruise. And then the rain started, the light type that just annoys you. It was so cold and wet on this boat. This was a pity as it was so grey but then you can not control the weather.
Then we walked to from Pier 83 on 42nd Street to 56th by passing the Rockefeller Ice rink that had just opened up ready for the Christmas season.
Then a porterhouse steak at Uncle Jacks before passing Trump Tower where there were lots of Trump supporters.
Then a quick visit to Bloomingdale’s that reminded me of Selfridges. But again, I did not buy anything as the exchange rate was still bad. I just love New York.
