ESSEX, CRESSING TEMPLE BARNS, A GORGEOUS PEACEFUL TIME

This year I promised myself no more flower shows I have previously done Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court Palace, more than once. But I am planning to visit various gardens, as I like getting ideas. I had read in the local news that Cressing Temple Barns had recently opened a Tiptree Tea Room. So my mum and I went for a visit. We were going for a spot of lunch and hoping there would be time to visit the Walled garden which is something I have always wanted for my own home. And having one brick wall does not count as a walled garden!
The tea room has only been opened for a week, so it looks very fresh, very new. It looks like they will stock various tiptree produce so that is good point. We ordered our lunch and were served promptly. I picked tuna mayo and my mum picked brie and chutney.
We did had less than 30 mins to see the walled garden as we were off to the cinema to watch A Royal Night Out.
This is the entrance – I was hoping I was going to like what I was about to see. As this looked promising.
This may look like over grown grass but its actually full of wild flowers and is such a clever idea.
A home for the honey bees
I am going to use this idea if I get a property with enough space match the path to walls.
It is such a lovely, quiet spot – we are going to come back later in the summer for afternoon tea and see how the garden has developed.
