After checking in our hotel, we started to walk around the city of Belgrade, I had picked up a tourist map and knew that we were walking distance between lots of the tourist attractions. Our first visit was to St Sava Church – this was beautiful but a pity that the inside that was not restored yet.
We then left and literally the opposite way, was the 20 min walk down towards the town centre, heading out towards the Belgrade Fortress.
We walked past the City Assembly heading towards Republic Square which is being restored. And we came to the Belgrade Fortress when we came across lots of tanks and guns.
I found a peaceful and beautiful spot where the Sava River meets the Danube River. It was a lovely place to be and reflect.
We then left and found a glimpse of St Michael’s Cathedral.
And then literally around the corner from our hotel was the National Assembly and St Marks Church.
