Before we left Southampton Quay, we explored and then we were off the find the Bembridge Windmill.
There is so much history around the old City Docks, I did not get much just to experience it all. Before we were on our way to the Isle Of Wight.
This is the first container ship I have seen in the flesh and it was big.
This was my first view of the Isle of Wight in East Cowes
This is a houseboat home, currently on sale for £235,000. I will not be buying it !
The Bembridge windmill is so quaint It is a wind powered mill, built around 1700, with original wooden milling machinery on 4 floors. We paid our entrance fee of £5.50, as we are not members of the National Trust. We went into the windmill and its has been left as it was. So there are two very steep ladders to the second floor, where I got my last two pictures, from small windows. Its so unique.
