LONDON, EUSTON SQUARE HOTEL

Euston Square hotel was booked as I had an engagement that meant that I needed to be close to Euston Station. This hotel is 5 mins walk from there and only 10 mins walk from Kings Cross. It’s very easy to find – literally exit Euston Square tube station and its around the corner. When you have breakfast, you can even watching people going down underneath the hotel to catch the tube. It’s on a main road in central London, so you do hear and it’s not unexpected a lot of noise. I had a twin room with my friend on the second floor. It’s a three star hotel but it met our needs. The only let down was the toiletries – they did not look very nice. The staff were helpful. The room was very cold, but then the UK had taken a turn with bad weather. It was not a bad hotel for our one nights needs.

Euston Square

And unknown to both of us, this hotel is very close to Speedy’s Cafe where they film the BBC Show Sherlock Euston Square

A minute’s walk from Euston Square tube station, this contemporary hotel occupies a Victorian townhouse. It’s also a 4-minute walk from Euston train station, and 12 minutes’ walk from St. Pancras station and the Eurostar terminal. The relaxed rooms have en suite bathrooms with showers, as well as air-conditioning and double-glazed windows. In-room amenities include tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms have free Wi-Fi. The informal restaurant/bar serves contemporary international dishes. There’s also a coffee shop, plus conference room and 3 meeting rooms.
