ITALY, ROME, AT YOUR PLACE B&B

My stay in Italy was some thing completely different this time I stayed in a bed and breakfast called At Your Place. The B&B is just a short distance from Saint Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museums and Castel Sant’Angelo. And is housed in an elegant building that dates back to the end of the 19th century. The top-floor apartment is home to the B&B and lies on the fifth floor of the building which conveniently has a lift.

We were met outside the building by the owner who explained that he did not live there but would be there from 7.30am and 10.00am  each morning. He showed us our room.

Our host was so informative and advised us on everything to see and do and most importantly where not to go at night. There was a supermarket close by that we visited frequently as I did not eat the breakfast. And we had our own tray in the fridge.

This was picked for our stay as it is close to many of the attractions in Rome. We had easy walking access to all of Rome’s attractions, including the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, and the Trevi Fountain. Close by is the quaint district of Trastevere, with its excellent selection of authentic Roman restaurants, cafes and bars. Easily within walking distance is the Ottaviano-S. Pietro metro station (line A), which we did use frequently. It did not feel like a normal city break due to this place, it felt like we were staying with friends.
