SLOVAKIA, BRATISLAVA, MERCURE CENTURM BRATISLAVA

Mercure Centurm Bratislava was booked again via www.hotels.com and because of the distance from the main train station. Walking out after my train from Vienna, I could actually see the top and I was pleased that it was not far to walk too. I have stayed at other Mercure properties and was expecting a tired looking building and interior. But I was mistaken, this was new and very modern. I was very impressed.

I arrived at 11.30 am and was just hoping to drop my suitcase off and go off sightseeing. To my surprise, I was told that there was a room available and I was so pleased. Even more so, when I entered. This is the best hotel I have stayed in so far – room wise. And the best Mercure I have stayed in so far.

It is not a huge room. It has no view as it looks out to the inside of the hotel. It just feels right, it is very modern, I have fridge and I do not know why but I just really like it. I do think feels like a brand new Mercure but is actually only opened in 2010. Eight years ago, I felt it was very modern and very nice.

Location wise, the Mercure Centrum is good fifteen minute walk from the Old Town. And in good weather, it is a nice walk down to the Old Town and all the tourist sites. But I did not mind that. I have the Bratislava Card that I get free transport with and buses from the station start at 3.30am. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone staying in Bratislava. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Bratislava is an exceptional city to explore and a great budget-friendly destination. This place seems so lovely and cosy, so I wouldn’t hesitate but stay there when exploring Bratislava! Thanks for the recommendation. 😉
