WINTER TRIPS – CARIBBEAN

Another winter trip, this one is an extended trip to the Caribbean. We would have to mindful of hurricane season which hits between June and late November. The most common thing to do in this area is to cruise on huge ships to as many islands as possible. I am on the fence if I want to do this. But then a week exploring a few countries independently from the ship might be the cheapest and easiest way to do this.

Royal Caribbean sail this itinerary:

  • San Juan, Puerto Rico
  • Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
  • Basseterre, St. Kitts
  • St. Johns, Antigua
  • Castries,St. Lucia
  • Bridgetown, Barbados
  • Cruising
  • San Juan, Puerto Rico

Princess Cruises has this twenty day itinerary

  • Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
  • Princess Cays, Bahamas
  • St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands
  • St. Kitts
  • St. Lucia
  • Barbados
  • Antigua
  •  Fort Lauderdale, Florida
  • Bonaire, Caribbean Netherlands
  • Curacao
  • Grenada
  • Dominica
  • St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands
  • Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos
  • Fort Lauderdale, Florida

The beauty of this trip is that I could also fly into the USA, and visit Anne Marie Island which is in Florida. Researching I have found the cheapest flight from the UK to this state and New York. So that could keep costs down.

The Caribbean looks picture perfect, a cruise could be a way exploring and deciding whether to return and explore any countries that interest me. But I just do not know. Life is so unexpected, no one knows what our future is going to be. I just hope one day, I get to explore this beautiful countries.
