Charlie and The Chesterfield was an afternoon tea that my friend and I decided to experience. Two years ago we did the Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea and we are going to try and do an afternoon tea every year. My friend lives in the north of the UK, and train travel is expensive for both of us, so hope to be well enough to meet up annually. This afternoon tea one was held at The Chesterfield Hotel in Mayfair. A mere five minute walk from Green Park underground station.

These Oompa Loompa drinks were delicious ! There were the first things that arrived at our table.

And then the food arrived !

And then we meet Mr Wonka himself, who gave us a golden ticket each with a ten per cent discount if I returned for afternoon tea by the end of the year and an everlasting gobstopper.

And they even had a sweet table after all that. Which was a nice touch. Overall, this afternoon tea was lovely and the theme was just right. I am so glad we managed to experience this.
