It was a cold, damp November day, when I went to my first blogging event held annually at Excel – The World Travel Market. I have been chatting online with various bloggers and looking forward to putting names to faces. I attended on press day – the 3rd November and again on the 5th November. Looking back, I think for me, I would only attend one day namely the press day as it was quieter, less manic with people and you can have more time speaking to people.

It was very overwhelming but in a good way. There was so many people and so many countries represented. For me, it was like being in a toy store as a child and literally decided where to go next. I was also impressed with the facilites put on for press/bloggers. The press area was impressive and that gave me tons of information and ideas for the upcoming year of travels.

I am in two minds if I would attend again. I am not the type of travel blogger who wants to do press events and things like that. I like to travel to where I pay for and see what I want too. So as lovely as this was, this was different side of the travel industry that I am pleased that I got to experience.
