WANDERLUST: THE IRISH ROAD TRIP

My first wanderlust post of this year, is a return to Ireland and staying in a castle. This was one of the first countries that I visited while I was still a teenager. My parents let me fly over there on my own to stay with one of friends. And I would love to return with my husband. Ireland is in my blood. My great-great parents on my fathers side were both Irish and I do have the pale skin, Irish temper and the red curly head. And years ago, I was always asked on holiday if I was Irish. And I was always no, I am British as I never looked into my families history back then. Anyway, we would fly into Dublin first and spend time exploring ! Then a road trip that I am calling my Irish Castle Road Trip, as I am planning on staying in as many castles that I can. Firstly Fitzpatrick Hotel.

I hope to visit Powerscourt Waterfall and Wicklow Way, they both look beautiful !

We would drive to Enniscorthy and visit the castle, I did tell you, this is my Irish Castle Road Trip. Maybe stop for lunch there ?

Before driving onto the Waterford Castle Hotel.

Then another long drive, stopping off to visit The Rock of Cashel and then lunch in in Tipperary.

We will be visiting Limerick and staying at the Dromoland Castle Hotel

And we would be visiting the Cliffs Of Moher as it looks amazing

Then onto Galway, to visit Kylemore Abbey in Connemara.

Where we will be staying at our last castle hotel, the Abbeyglen Castle Hotel.

Before we drive the four hours back to Dublin Airport and fly home. I really can not wait to do this in the future !
