Belize is another wanderlust country. Found on the eastern coast of Central America, with Caribbean Sea shorelines to the east and dense jungle to the west. We would fly into Belize City and explore what we can find. But primarily, the first thing we would do is go the barrier reef. We both love to be in the sea and snorkel. Made up of over  one hundred and eighty miles of beautiful corals, cays and islands, this looks beautiful.

And we would also hire a helicopter to see the Belize Blue Hole. This is the largest ocean sinkhole in the world. Created by a collapsed underground cavern, it appears as a dark blue circle among the startling turquoise sea. Boats circle the hole daily but for us, it would have to by helicopter. It is such a beautiful sight.

Then we would drive and stay for at Francis Ford Coppola’s Blancaneaux Lodge found in Mountain Pine Ridge.

And to based in Belize’s jungle area are home to Mayan ruins like Caracol, renowned for its towering pyramid. Which is something elise I would like to visit.

I think this is a perfect itinery for a week during the UK’s winter period. I really hope to explore Belize !
