Devon was a county that I have wanted to visit for a long time. When it was suggested to visit, I knew exactly where I wanted to go to. But I also had to listen to my body. I can only sit in a car for four hours maximum before my body gives up. Our first stop was a dinner and a night sleep in Exeter. A very beautiful city that I would recommend to anyone.

The next morning, we drove on as my mum wanted to visit Teignmouth. When we arrived, I remember this site being on the news one year. The track is next to the sea, and bad weather one year had made the rails slide into the sea.

Agatha Christie Summer Home Greenway

Then somewhere very special to me, somewhere that I never ever felt I would visit. Agatha Christies summer home in Devon. I loved this so much.

Ilfracombe

Then when we left Cornwall, we returned to driving through northern Devon, and we picked Ilfracombe due to driving time.  It was a good choice.

I actually liked Devon more than Cornwall. This I did not expect and would love to return and explore more in my future.
