Hotel Downtown was a disappointment on many levels. We arrived at the airport, and I was expecting to be picked up. That was what I had paid for before we had left the UK. And this had worked fine in Hungary and Serbia, but the driver was not there. Two calls to the hotel and an hour later, we were then picked up.  And to apologies, they upgraded us to a deluxe room.  This was very long and narrow on the second floor. This was a very old fashioned hotel, but more than adequate for our needs. It is less than 10 mins walk to the National Palace of Culture.

I just did not like Hotel Downtown.
