When I decided to visit Bath, I knew I wanted to stay at the Francis Hotel and I was not disappointed. The Francis Hotel is located on the South Side of Queen Square in Bath. The Francis Hotel occupies seven of the nine town houses built between 1728 and 1736, on the south side of Queen Square.

I was in house number 9 and my room was beautiful. It was not a big room, but it was just right for me. And the bed was so comfortable.

I just loved the Francis hotel and would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone visiting Bath. Occupying a grand Regency-style townhouse, this upscale hotel is a block from the Jane Austen Centre and within 10 minutes’ walk of the town centre, the Roman Baths and the Bath Spa railway station. Eclectic, colourful rooms feature tea and coffee making facilities, flat-screen TVs and free WiFi. Upgraded rooms add 4-poster beds, minibars and espresso machines. There’s a fashionable brasserie serving afternoon tea, plus a lounge bar and an elegant salon. Parking and babysitting are available for additional fees.
