The Loeb Boathouse in Central Park was top of my list of places to eat in New York. It is literally set in the middle of Central Park, not far from the Alice in Wonderland statute. In a picture perfect setting right on the lake. We arrived early and we were sat straight away.

Does this place not look cosy ? I can imagine being here with a fire burning in the winter and with a book !

All the waiters in the boathouse were so good and attentive by making sure we were filled with drinks and the most gorgeous bread. Service was impeccable and I have never been treated so well in a restaurant so far. Very impressed so far.

I ordered the grilled petite fillet of beef and my mum ordered the seafood pasta.

And I have to say it was just delicious. And I really enjoyed our meal here. It is in a perfect spot and this is another place I would recommend to anyone staying in NY ! I hope to return with my husband and experience the Boathouse in a different season, maybe Christmas or Summer, I really do not mind. I just want to come back !
