RADISSON BLU HOTEL LEITUVA

Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva is where I was booked to stay when our tour group arrived in Vilnius, Lithuania.  This hotel is big and set in the business district. Now this is where I am getting picky. It is more than adequate but is a good twenty/thirty minuites for me to get to the main streets and tourist sites. But it is on the river and is a lovely setting.

I was given a twin room with a shower. I would have liked a bath and have no idea why I never asked for one. I can just remember arriving and just wanting to eat and go to to bed. I had experienced a horrible coach ride from Latvia and my health was getting worse and worse. My travel buddy mentioned on the last day that he had a room with a bath and just wanted a shower. If we had discussed it earlier, we could have just swapped rooms. I did push the beds together after dinner. I just like a double bed.

And I did have a nice view both during the night and day time. And it was very quiet during the evenings.

Also a few Radisson Blu have bars with a view. I did not get the chance to experience this in Latvia. So my last day, when my tour group left me there and went off on their travels. I was flying home later that day due to my ill health. I popped up to the twenty second floor to see the view. I did not buy a drinks as I had been previously told that they were expensive.

And that building next door, is a shopping mall with a supermarket perfect for buying snacks and lots of places to eat. I went there a few times with my travel group. I did enjoy staying here but I think I just like more smaller, boutique style hotels.
