TRAVEL PLANS FOR 2018

This year’s travel plans were going to be all about Europe. As we are continuing to overpay on our mortgage, but I now have redundancy this year too.  And as I have asked for early release in June. I was successful, that I was released at the beginning of March. Meaning I can start travelling to some many amazing places. But I also need to be mindful about my condition that was diagnosed last year. No more busy weekend trips trying to see everything I can, my body can not take that any more. I also need to rest and relax during our winter breaks. But as this is my redundancy year I am going to some special places too !

The UK

A return visit to the Harry Potter Studio tour, as I have not been to the Forbidden Forest. Unless my friend and I wait another day to see if another section is opened up ! Get the most for our money !

Some day trips to London to see various things including afternoon tea at Sketch during Chelsea At Bloom. This was last year and looks so beautiful !

Off back to the North East to catch up with old friends. So looking forward to this !

Potentially, I may go to Scotland and do a tour that I have been looking at for such a long time. And a bucket list would be done riding the Harry Potter train!

I am thinking of going to various seasides like Brighton, Margate and Southend for the day if the weather is good.

Europe

A few days exploring Malta. We were given free flights from Ryanair and we picked Malta for a few days relaxing in hopefully sun !

There is Baltic tour which starts in Estonia and continues onto Latvia and Lithuania that I am interested in. But I am on the fence. I may well book city breaks to see if I can manage them.

My best friend wants to go to on some long weekends in Europe but is not sure where, so depending where he wants to go will be an adventure that is for sure.

During the summer we are going to Warsaw, Poland for a few days.

I am off to Brussels. This trip is with my mum, we wanted to visit the Flower Carpet. Now in its 20th year ! We will also hope to be visiting other cities maybe, Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp

And I found a day trip to Luxembourg, another new country !

Then a solo trip to Russia. Where I will be exploring both Moscow and St Petersburg. I would have gone earlier in the year, but this year Russia is the host country for the Football World Cup. So I wanted to visit when it was over.

Long Haul

Then my mum and I are going back to Asia. And we are doing another tour, this one is Vietnam and Cambodia. I can wait to explore these countries !

And in Cambodia, we are visiting Siem Reap to visit Angkor Wat.

Now my husband has the choice of his two week annual leave which could either be a trip to South America. We would be spending two weeks exploring Rio de Janeiro, Iguazu Falls, Machu Picchu and Buenos Aires.

Or two weeks in The Seychelles, relaxing in the Indian Ocean sounds pretty perfect to me too. I am happy with what ever he picks !

This year, is probably going to be one of my favourite years of travel. Finally going to so many places that I have put off for years. I am not doing that any more. Life is for living and experiencing and seeing this world. You never know what is around the corner. I just would love to see as much of the world that I am possibly can !

Wow, wonderful choices. I’m intrigued to know how many you have ticked off already? Highly recommend Russia. I have lived in both cities, and Samara down in the south and all are wonderful. Hope you enjoy it.

Thank you – At the end of the year will be up to 52. But will be slowing down after this year. Thirteen countries in one year is too much for me !
