SUPER SERUMS – THE BATTLE

Super serums, love this name. But do any of these beauty brands actually live up to these claims. I had three of these in my beauty stash so lets see if they are true. The ones I have are Elemis Super Serum, Liz Earle Superskin Face Serum and Clinique Smart.
Elemis
Elemis Pro Collagen Super Serum was used first. Clinically proven, this concentrated anti ageing super serum elixir significantly reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Powered by the unique blend of intelligent bio-actives such as Anti-Ageing Tri-Peptides, African Birch Bark, Red Seaweed and Padina Pavonica, skin feels firmer with improved elasticity. Hyaluronic Acid, combined with omega-rich Camelina oil. This was horrible to use, the smell, the texture. After two uses, I had to throw away. Will never have this in my rotation of serums.
Clinque Smart Serum was next used. Patented Clinique Smart technology is designed to fight the look of damage unique to your skin. Other ingredients include a blend of peptides, patented enzymes, natural collagen-boosting ingredients and brightening botanicals. I liked that the ingredients had glycerine, salicylic acid, hyaluronic acid, squalane. This had an awful lot in this and is fragrance free, a big plus for me. It also worked so well with other products that I was using. The only downside is the price.
Liz Earle Super Serum was used last. Infused with a blend of powerful plant extracts to visibly even skin tone, lift, firm and plump, while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This was too perfumed for me. I had two bottles to finish up, a 10ml and 30ml. I did not see any difference with lines and wrinkles over the time I used this. Not to repurchased by me.
Would I buy any super serums in the future. Maybe the Clinique one, if it was on sale. But who knows what the future holds. They may be an amazing product around the corner ?
