In 2016, there are lots of new places to eat in Chelmsford. Firstly, High Chelmer has new restaurants. High Chelmer’s Exchange Way entrance, off Market Road has been changed into a food hub as part of a long overdue revamp of the 1970’s shopping centre. Chelmsford now has Italian eatery Carluccio’s, Bourgee, a steak lobster lounge, Caribbean-themed Turtle Bay and French brasserie Côte, at High Chelmer’s Exchange Way entrance.

The new Bond Street development will have at least five new places to eat, when it opens in the autumn of 2016. The Bond Street development will introduced burger joint Bill’s, Latino restaurant Las Iguanas, Ask Italian, burger chain Byron, American bar Coast to Coast.

And plans have been submitted for the Meadows Retail Park store Argos to give up more than half of the space it currently occupies to make way for one ground floor and two first restaurants. Upstairs would be occupied by Cosy Club, a chain restaurant and bar and Japanese noodle bar Wagamama and Gourmet Burger Kitchen would go downstairs. I am big fan of Gourmet Burger Kitchen and this branch would be a regular for me ! I hope this happens !

I hope to try them all out at least once and will blog about each experience.
