MY NORWAY BUCKET LIST – THE SCREAM AND THE VIKING SHIP

My Norway bucket list were two things, a painting and a ship. We went to the National Portrait Gallery in Oslo to find the Scream painting. This has been one picture that has resonated with me all this time – The Scream by Edvard Munch.
Due to it being a weekend visit, The National Portrait Gallery was only opened for the Saturday, the other two days we were there it would be closed. When we arrived, the queue was outside the building and I have never seen so many people pushing past each other just to see this. Even with my crutch, they would still push me and I do not understand why people can not just be pleasant and let each person take their time. I was so pleased to finally see this and it was so busy as everyone was pushing each other. Not a nice experience. But then I noticed this one. And I knew this was Edvard Munch by Hans Jaegr.
The next day we took the bus to visit the Viking Ship Museum.
The museum holds three viking ships. And they are beautiful.
I was so pleased to see these Norway bucket list things that I have always wanted too. I would recommend anyone to see things that they are important to them. I would like to one day return to Norway as there are the Fjords that my father saw on a cruise and I have always wanted to see the Midnight Sun.
