KOTOR OLD TOWN, MONTENEGRO

Kotor, another UNESCO world heritage site was our next stop on this trip. Kotor has one of the best preserved medieval old towns in the Adriatic. And again like many other areas in Eastern Europe you can see the Venetian influence in the buildings.
This is the the Cathedral of St. Tryphon and was consecrated in 1166.
And this is the Church of Our Lady of Remedy, which dates from 1518. The church and fortress can only be reached on foot, the rocks and the stairs that lead to the structures on the slope make this church a difficult and time-consuming place to reach. Something that I wish that I had the time to do. If I get the chance to return, I will climb this route.
