Whilst in Dubai, we wanted to visit the Burj Khalifa. The Burj Khalifa, known as the Burj Dubai prior to its inauguration in 2010, is a skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. With a total height of 829.8 m and a roof height of 828 m, the Burj Khalifa has been the tallest structure and building in the world since its topping out in late 2008. We took the metro to Burj Khalifa and the view was amazing. And to think that Tom Cruise hanged outside of this building In Mission Impossible 4 was a scary thought.

Burj Khalifa is part of the massive Downtown Dubai complex of offices, hotels, shopping malls, entertainment precincts and apartment buildings. We booked our tickets directlly online from here

We took the elevator to the 124th-floor Observation Deck for the views over Dubai and the Arabian Gulf.

You do not need to spend a lot of time here, its very close to the Dubai Mall which when I visited was the largest shopping mall in the world. And its air conditioned, a good choice to get out of the heat !
