This was our first trip to the USA, I had booked this trip, to get married in Las Vegas. We went to San Francisco first, we were there for 3 nights in the Hotel Carlton. From what I can remember, we visited The Golden Gate Bridge, and Alcatraz. This is still one of my favourite cities and I would love to go back.

We then flew to Las Vegas.

We stayed at the Imperial Palace for 3 nights. This wasn’t somewhere where I would have booked if I had taken much notice of the package that I had booked. I just wanted to be in Las Vegas to get married. Where we did at the Little Chapel Of Flowers. We then went to Los Angeles.

We stayed at the Hollywood Roosevelt for 3 nights. This was a nice hotel but the area at the time was very run down. Not like it is now. We were there for such a short time, that we only managed to do a Paramount Pictures Studio Tour and visit Universal Studios.

So we felt that there was more to see in Los Angeles, so we booked another trip and went back in August the same year.

This time, we stayed at the Castle Inn Suites. We went with friends and went to Disneyland Anaheim, San Diego Zoo – which is still the best zoo I have been too and Vazquez Rocks.
