Thistle London Heathrow Terminal 5 was picked as I needed a hotel close to the airport for my flight to Russia. This was picked as I got a discount with hotels.com I booked a standard double room, from their website

When I arrived, I realised that I had stayed here before, years ago. The hotel is only a ground floor and a first floor. And what I also liked what that I could use The Heathrow Pod to get to the terminal. The Heathrow Pod is £5 per person per journey payable at the Hotel Reception at arrival or departure.

And I also wanted to try the Runway View Restaurant, Bar and Terrace. With amazing views of the runways at Terminal 5, it’s the perfect setting to relax, catch-up and unwind. You can watch planes line up and land while eating. It was such a fun experience, as some men would get excited if a Boeing, a huge plane it seems land.

If I was travelling on another early flight from Terminal 5, I would book to stay here again.
