LONDON, THE SOUTH BANK – WHAT YOU CAN FIND

This walk takes you all the way from Westminister Bridge down to Tower Bridge taking in all the attractions that can be found on the South Bank
Across the Westminster Bridge, you have the Houses Of Parliament and The Queen Elizabeth Tower (known as Big Ben) walking across the bridge, you can get some great pictures. You come across the London Aquarium, Shrek Experience and the British Film Institute. Then you come across the National Theatre and the Oxo Tower. The Oxo Tower is where you could stop for lunch. But is expensive but delicious – be warned !
Then you come across Tate Modern and the Globe Theatre. And then before you know it, you can see St Pauls Cathedral across the Millennium Bridge.
You then come across Southwark Cathedral and behind it you find Borough Market.
Before continuing on the walk towards HMS Belfast and Hays Galleria.
And then before you know it you have arrived at Tower Bridge and across the Thames, Tower Of London.
It is a lovely two mile walk walking down the Southbank and viewing a lot London’s iconic buildings. So it is a lovely thing to do that does not cost a penny other than your time. But wear comfortable shoes ! And do not worry about places to eat – there are so many to choose from – have a fun walk !
