So this was my first time using Red Funnel Ferries and I was very impressed. It was like a military procession and ran really well. I am used to cramped late trains, and this was a surprise.
There were good facilites on board. Food was reasonable with a good selection for both both breakfast and tea as we came back on a tea time ferry. Plenty of seats for everyone. We were one of the first ones on the return trip. So we got the seats at the front and this was nice. We just sat and watched the route back to Southampton. And the free wi-fi was good.
The staff on board were very helpful and were full of suggestions for our short stay.
The journey time was an hour and our tickets were a combination ticket with entrance to Osborne House – came to just under £30 each way. It was such an easy, stress free way to travel to the Isle of Wight and something that I will repeat when I return. Red Funnel Ferries company that carries passengers, vehicles and freight on routes between the English mainland and the Isle of Wight.
