Our second day in Budapest involved doing the Parliament Tour.

This building is so beautiful from the outside, I was hoping that the inside would be the same. And I was not disappointed. If I had researched properly before arriving, I would have booked independently,  as this was only a 20 min walk from our hotel.  And members of the EU get discount tickets so if you visiting – take id – we had our passports and other people in our tour group had their driving licenses.

We went through security like you experience at airports.  And had a 45 min tour including the Central Hall where the Holy Crown Of Hungary also known as the Crown of St Stephen, which has been used since the 12^th century.  This was the only room that you are not allowed to take photos in.

We visited the Assembly Hall of the House of Representatives.

This Parliament Tour was one of my highlights from my trip to Budapest. I would recommend to anyone who is visiting Budapest !
