THE LITTLE MERMAID, KASTELLET

My first goal in Copenhagen was to see the Little Mermaid. We got on a train at Central Station and found ourselves in a gorgeous park called Kastellet. We got off at Osterport St Station, turned left outside the station, crossed the road and walked towards this park
We then found The Little Mermaid. She is a bronze statue by Edvard Eriksen, depicting a mermaid. The sculpture is displayed on a rock by the waterside at the Langelinie promenade in Copenhagen, Denmark. It is 1.25 metres tall and weighs 175 kilograms
We took our photo at 8.30am in the morning but we were not early enough as you can see how many people there are.
We made a quick exit after getting our photo and walked outwards the Langeline Park.
And this caught my eye – I could not believe that I would find a statute of a British Prime Minister.
This statue was my favourite, just look at her !
Our only full day in Copenhagen was packed and there is more to come !
