We arrived in Copenhagen on a Saturday afternoon. We got the train from the airport to the Central Station as this was the nearest station to our hotel the Anderson Hotel.

After checking, we walked back past the Central Station. And I liked the look of the new tower block being built.

Before we made our way looking for the Nyhavn, one of the most Instagram’s shots of Copenhagen and you can see why ! Such a beautiful spot whether you are on a boat or sitting having a drink.

This un-finished bridge made me smile !

This is Royal Danish Theatre, home to Royal Danish Opera, Ballet and Orchestra. This was another beautiful building in Copenhagen

And something that I will always remember about our time here was the number of bikes and cigarette butts.

We went to visit the Royal Reception Rooms at the Christiansborg Palace but we arrive with only 30 mins left before they closed. This will be a post about all you can see there. We visited the ruins, the chapel and the stables. We then spent the evening in Tivoli Gardens. We managed to see so many sights in Copenhagen on our first day, and tomorrow, we are using our Copenhagen Card.
