CROATIA, DUBROVNIK, SECRETS FROM THE CITY WALLS

We walked the Old Town City Walls. This was the last thing we did in Dubrovnik. I was not a fan of being that high up and the stairs worried me too. For less than ten pounds and you can not pay in euros. Either Croatian Kuna or a credit card. We joined the City Walls at the Gate of Ploce, the second major entrance to the city.
What I liked seeing was the gardens and things that I did not expect, a basketball court
This is the gardens of a monastery.
This is the entrance from the Pilar Gate.
This is called the Large Onofrio fountain. It is one of two Onofrio fountains, the other is the smaller Onofrio fountain and is at the other end of street
And this shows, firstly how narrow some of the streets are and normal life living in the Old Town, drying your washing.
This was a lovely thing to do, but make sure that you were comfortable shoes. As you are up and down steps, it was not easy thing for me to do. And that you take some water with you. And you guessed it, I did not ! Another mistake !
