CHINA, XIAN SIGHTS

In Xian we saw not a lot. As we were driven out of the city walls to visit the Terracotta Factory. So these are a few images that I got from the coach.
We were then taken to The Tangbo Art Museum, which houses displays of Chinese folk art, paintings and even tried Chinese calligraphy. Which is a lot harder than it looks !
I had found a map of the City Walls in our hotel room. And found that the Bell Tower was not that far. So I took a ten minute walk to find it.
We did go out in the evening. We booked the evening excursion, taking a walking tour on North Square of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. The square holds the largest musical fountain in Asia.
And this was our view. The square was packed !
I would have liked an extra night to explore Xian further and have even told Titan Travels myself. But if I return with my husband, I can always do it then. I would love to hire a bicycle to explore Xian walls. It looks amazing and I will do this if I come back. Xian is primarily known for the Terracotta Army but there are other things to find in this city.
