THE NATIONAL FLOWER SHOW, CHELMSFORD

So my mum mentioned that there was to be a Flower Show at Hylands House in Chelmsford with Mary Berry attending. Hylands House is a Grade II* neo-classical villa situated within Hylands Park a 232-hectare park south-west of Chelmsford in Essex in South East England. It is owned and operated by Chelmsford City Council. So we went to visit as we like Flowers Shows and we had not visited the area before.
The Flower Show was inside the house which I would have liked to explore further and with not so many people. Maybe another time.
The entrance fee was £8 per adult and you had free parking. There were a few displays of flowers which were really pretty and a display of vegetables aswell.
These were all inside Hylands house. Which had some impressive rooms and ceilings.
But outside is where you find all the stores selling everything from fake grass, flowers, tools, clothes. And even Mary Berry doing a talk. And I did meet and was very disappointed with her attitude.
My favourite plant the Japanese Acers, I also look for them when I go to shows like this.
I am glad I visited but I was a little disappointed and would not attend again. But I was pleased to have finally visited Hylands House as this has been somewhere on my list for such a long time.
