WALES, CARDIFF, NOVOTEL CARDIFF CITY CENTRE

I booked to stay at the Novotel Cardiff City Centre because my friend was staying here for our event in Cardiff. Set 0.9 miles from Cardiff Castle, this industrial-chic hotel with a red-brick and glass exterior is 1 mile from Wales Millennium Centre and 2.1 miles from Cardiff Bay. The contemporary rooms with en suite bathrooms feature Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and pull-out sofas, plus work desks and tea and coffee making facilities. It is a fifteen minute walk from both Cardiff Central Railway Station and Mermaid Quay. When I checked in, I was offered an upgrade and this was the room I got.
Mind you £2.50 for a small bottle of water is a bit steep. This should be complimentary in mu opinion.
And a nice big bathroom, with a bathroom and separate shower which was nice. And think that is what I upgraded.
My main bug bear, was the plug sockets, there was one on the desk and none by the bed. There is nothing wrong with this room, but it is so bland. Next time I will go with my gut and book where I want to stay – I like a certain style. Oh well you can not like every hotel room you book.
