I had wanted to visit the Bronte museum for such a long time. I have been reading their novels since I was a young girl. I never thought that I would ever get to visit where the sisters actually wrote their stories. It was such a lovely place. Well worth a visit if you are a fan of the Bronte sisters. It took us over fours hours to drive there. The parsonage museum is set out as it would have been when the Bronte family were alive. The Bronte sisters were born in Thornton near Bradford, but wrote most of their novels while living at Haworth Parsonage when their father was the parson at the Church of St. Michael and All Angels. In the 19th century, the village and surrounding settlements were largely industrialised, which put it at odds with the popular portrayal in Wuthering Heights, which only bore resemblance to the upper moorland that Emily Bronte was accustomed too. The Parsonage is now a museum owned and maintained by the Bronte Society.

Haworth is such a pretty village with amazing food and views.

It was lovely to finally get to visit this museum. Next time, I hope to explore West Yorkshire further.
